With so much criticism of vegan food in this day and age, it is AWESOME when a cafe just proves how amazing it can taste.
Particle Cafe in Avondale Heights is becoming renowned for their “Insta-worthy” dishes and rightly so. Their cookie dough smoothie bowls deserves all the recognition it can get.
With a menu comprising of 100% gluten-free, refined sugar-free and 100% vegan, you can eat here knowing that what’s going in to your tummy is good for you and the environment.
We loved the variety of dishes across the menu without the overload of options making it easier to choose. On this occasion we couldn’t go past the cookie dough smoothie bowl and it is possibly the best we have ever had. All the ingredients were fresh and it was a great serving size that meant we were left feeling satisfied.
We also could not go past trying the pink latte which is made from cold-pressed beetroot, orange and ginger. This is definitely an acquired taste as the ginger and beetroot flavours come through strong so it wasn’t for us but love the initiative and benefits it would provide.
The cafe atmosphere is charming and bright. They offer pencils and paper for the kids and although there isn’t a lot of space, they make it feel spacious by not cramming tables too closely and they also have a few tables outside for those warm sunny days.
There is definitely so much more we want to try out from Particle Cafe and we look forward to our next return to this sweet hidden gem.
